Advocacy
This page was set up to assist you in your legislative advocacy efforts. It contains a number of tools you can use to visit your legislator, schedule a visit by your legislator out to your program, or write a letter to your legislator. For up-to-date information on Federal legislative advocacy your best bet is always to consult FRAC’s Legislative Action Center. Advocacy Process Tips give you help in finding your legislator and making contact. The Talking Points & Sample Letters give you some samples to use in your own efforts. FRAC’s website and our emailed Advocacy Action Alerts give you the most up-to-date sample letters of course.

URGENT ACTION IN CA

  1. California's Governor blue penciled state supplemental meal reimbursement for Non-Prop 98 child care agencies from the final 2012-13 budget. We are trying to fight back. We are asking impacted agencies to complete the survey at www.surveymonkey.com/s/CACFP-SMR between March 4 but not later than March 9.

  2. Please send a letter in support of AB 290, Foundations for Healthy Nutrition in Child Care, not later than March 15. Find a fact sheet and sample letter at http://cfpa.net/ab290.
