USDA Extends Two National Waivers

Updated: Jun 18, 2020

On June 8th, USDA extended two nationwide waivers that directly impact the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).

On May 15th, USDA announced extension of three other nationwide waivers until August 31, 2020. These included the waivers that addressed non-congregate feeding, parent pick-up and meal times.

Joint Letter to USDA

On June 9, 2020, the Roundtable and the National CACFP Forum sent a joint letter to USDA expressing gratitude for the waivers that have been extended but requesting USDA understand that further attention is needed regarding suspension of onsite monitoring and state audits as well as the need to provide extensions for claim deadlines.
