CA - Sponsors of Family Child Care Homes: Serious Deficiency process letters new contact

Yesterday, the California Department of Education (CDE) sent out an email sharing the new

contact information for Serious Deficiency (SD) letters. The new point of contact as of July 1, 2021, is Brandi Airada at brandi.airada@dss.ca.gov. See below for CDE's email.

Dear DCH Sponsors,

As you know, on July 1, 2021, the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) will become the state agency administering the Child and Adult Care Food Program in California. One of your organization’s responsibilities as a Day Care Home sponsor is to provide the state agency with copies of all serious deficiency process letters you issue to your providers (serious deficiencies, temporary deferrals, proposed terminations and disqualifications, and terminations and disqualifications).

Effective July 1, 2021, please send copies of these letters by email to Brandi Airada at brandi.airada@dss.ca.gov.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me by email at this address until June 30th, and then at catherine.hardin@dss.ca.gov beginning July 1. Looking forward to continuing our work together at CDSS!

Best,

Cathy
