California: October and November Claim Reimbursement Delays
This afternoon CDSS CACFP Branch sent out a listserv to CACFP operators notifying you of delays in reimbursement for claims submitted for the month of October and November. You can find the email here and pasted below.
Earlier today the CDSS CACFP Branch spoke with the advisory board of the CACFP Roundtable to better understand how this delay was going to impact your programs. CDSS is listening to you and so is the Roundtable. CACFP Roundtable is here to be a conduit of information between yourselves and CDSS if you feel the need. Let us know of questions and concerns. Dear Program Operator, This is to inform you that due to the transition of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) to the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) there has been a delay with the issuance of reimbursement warrants for Child and Adult Care Food Program claims submitted for October and November. The CDSS has remedied the problem with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and will begin issuing payments on December 20. Thank you for your continued participation in serving California’s children and adults and we sincerely apologize for the delay in relaying this information.
