CDC Releases Flow Chart for Reopening Child Care Amid COVID-19

Yesterday the Center for Disease Control (CDC) released tools to guide states as they reopen following closures because of COVID-19. Child Care Programs have a specific decision tree with live links to additional information regarding such topics as social distancing and employees wearing face coverings. The first column, which helps a child care facility determine whether or not they should open, encourages being consistent with state and local orders and being able to screen children and employees upon arrival for symptoms and history of exposure. Take a look at the child care decision tree.

Are your state's child care programs open or reopening? Child Care Aware of America has an interactive map that shows child care status nationwide and then provides local resources.

What are your thoughts about the CDC guidance for child care and meeting these recommendations?
