The child care system was in crisis prior to COVID-19. Slots were limited, parents couldn't afford it and child care providers themselves were often in financially precarious situations. NWLC and Georgetown Center on Poverty and Inequality have put together a fact sheet, Considerations for Child Care Providers & Workers Navigating Financial Support Options During the COVID-19 Crisis, to help child care providers (home-based, center-based, large and small) navigate, not only, financial resources but also consider tough questions based around immediate financial needs and the long-term viability of their business.
