The Institute of Child Nutrition (ICN) has had a longtime newsletter each month with healthy eating, resources and tools all specific to the CACFP mealtime environment. It has a new look and an easily shareable link. This month's memo focuses on Family Style Meal Service. It also has October Food Themes which include National Taco Day, National Farmers Day, National Pasta Day and then of course there's a National Pumpkin Day in October. These food themes have information about the food, suggested books, discussion prompts and activities. And, of course there are some Healthy Halloween Snack ideas and suggestions.
