CA CACFP Child Care Center Staff: Save the Date for in-person CDSS Training

Save the Date! The California Department of Social Services, Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Branch will be hosting two, two-day in-person trainings for CACFP child care center staff. From 2005 to 2020, this training was offered as the Promoting Integrity Now (PIN) management training and will now be called, CACFP 101.

The purpose of the CACFP 101 training is to strengthen managerial and operational practices and provide regulatory and nutrition information to CACFP child care center staff. Some of the topics that will be covered in the training include, performance standards, civil rights, financial management, procurement, eligibility, administrative reviews, nutrition education, CACFP meal patterns, menu planning, and recordkeeping.
