Child and Adult Care Food Program Reimbursement 20-21 Rates Released

New Child and Adult Care Food Program Reimbursement Rates

Family child care homes have a significant increase in reimbursement rates because of the 4.82 percent jump in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for food at home. Center rates have a mid-range increase based on the 2.93 percent CPI for food away from home. (The one exception is the center paid snack rate.) Unfortunately, CACFP sponsors rates are flat lined, with no increase for the coming year. The sponsors rates are based on the overall Consumer Price Index barely increased at 0.12 percent. This is not representative of sponsors true costs and will be a blow given all that is happening now.
