New from Team Nutrition: Training worksheets in print, updated grains resource & meal pattern slides


USDA Team Nutrition has more resources for our CACFP Community!


NEW: CACFP Meal Pattern Training Slides. Slides are available in English and Spanish. They include topics such as Crediting Single-Serving Packages of Grains in the CACFP, Crediting Store-Bought Combination Baby Foods in the CACFP, Whole Grain Rich Foods, Serving Snacks and Using the Nutrition Facts Label in the CACFP. The slides (both English and Spanish) can be found here.


UPDATED: Training Worksheet on Identifying Whole Grain-Rich Foods for the CACFP Using the Ingredient List. Shows operators to use the Rule of Three to identify whole grain rich items. It's been updated to include more examples of ingredients and practice questions. The worksheet (in both English and Spanish) can be found here.
